GUT AND PSYCHOLOGY/PHYSIOLOGY SYNDROME
(GAPS)

GAPS is a condition which stems from gut microbial imbalance (dysbiosis) and affects the entire body, in particular the nervous, digestive and immune systems. GAPS individuals suffer not only from the symptoms that determine their diagnosis, but also from seemingly unrelated symptoms such as flatulence, heartburn, frequent stomach pain, diarrhea or constipation, colic in babies, malnourishment, skin problems, inflammatory conditions, fatigue, etc. Based on what body functions are impacted most severely, GAPS conditions fall into one of two categories:
Gut and Psychology Syndrome - includes disorders such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADD/ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, behavioural problems, eating disorders, memory and cognitive problems, etc.
Gut and Physiology Syndrome - includes a variety of digestive disorders (IBS, IBD, colitis, gastritis, celiac disease), endocrine disorders (thyroid, adrenal, PMS, etc), autoimmune disorders (multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lupus, psoriasis, etc) and many other such as ME, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, allergies, asthma, hay fever, migraines, food intolerances, etc.
The GAPS Nutritional Program, which was created by neurologist Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride, incorporates three components:
1. - GAPS Diet
2. - Supplementation
3. - Detoxification and lifestyle changes
As a certified GAPS practitioner, trained by Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride, I conduct one-on-one as well as virtual consultations to guide you on the GAPS nutritional program. Following our first meeting, which serves to collect all the details about your health history, current symptoms, eating habits and lifestyle, a customized protocol will be created for you. Your detailed GAPS report will not only include a step-by-step nutritional guideline with delicious recipes, but also suggestions for introducing simple lifestyle habits and supplementation regimen that will tackle the gut healing process and restore the microbial balance.
To find out how GAPS can address your specific health concerns and what to expect while following the protocol, contact me for a complimentary 25-minute Discovery Session!
